With apps, Youtube videos and social media anyone looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or just get into shape can go actually do it on their own without the help of a Personal Trainer or Coach. The benefits of having a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach is that I can create programs for my clients. The purpose is so that the client does not injury themselves with overuse of a muscle or muscle group. Receiving guidance also aides in accountability...if you are paying someone you are more likely not to skip your workouts. I know when to push a client and also when to back off and allow my clients to rest. Most people do not like to workout and when the workout gets tough people will stop! My job is to push my clients until they have given 100% to themselves.
